Removing Date from Thread

How can I removed the date from being displayed within a thread? I was able to remove the join date, but not post date. Can anyone provide guidance on this. Thank you!

Perhaps try removing these lines from the display_contenttype_threadview_header template?

HTML Code:

                                                        {vb:set createdSchema.itemprop, dateCreated}
                                                        {vb:set createdSchema.datetime, {vb:raw conversation.created}}
                                                        <div class="b-post__timestamp OLD__post-date"><time {vb:schema {vb:raw createdSchema}}>{vb:datetime {vb:raw conversation.created}}</time></div>

Lynne,

Thank you for the guidance but this did not do the trick. I'm trying to eliminate the date in the topics section. I've explored different areas but have not found where to eliminate the snippet. I have attached a screenshot.http://d.pr/i/zAWC

Oh, on that page.

For the started by area, just modify the phrase "started_by_link_x_y_z" and change it to just:
Started by <a href="{1}">{2}</a>

For the Last Post, edit template "display_Topics_item" and remove this:
<span class="post-date">{vb:datetime {vb:raw topic.lastcontent}}</span>

(not tested)

Lynn,

Thank you! Where can I modify the "started_by_link...". I am not seeing that. I also attempted the "last post" solution and it did not remove the date. Kind of at a loss, but I thank you for assisting me. It's appreciated.

You may search for the phrase under Languages & Phrases > Search for Phrases. Make sure to search for the phrase name, not phrase text.

Did you remove it every place it was in the template? It's in there a few times. You might also want to remove this line:

<a href="{vb:url {vb:raw topic.routeid}, {vb:raw topic}, {vb:raw qs}}" class="go-to-last-post" title="{vb:phrase 'go_to_last_post'}">&nbsp;</a>

Lynn,

Thank you! That worked!! You've been a huge help. I took the intiative to eliminate the other dates displayed as well since I knew what to look for, but it has been more trail and error than anything else.

Where can I find the date for the "Latest Topic" section & also the "Main Forum" section. I have provided screenshots and URL of forum so you know exactly what I am talking about. Thank you!!!http://d.pr/i/93dS

Latest Topics date seems to be in the template display_contenttype_searchwidget_item_footer irght near the bottom

Last Post seems to be the template display_Forums_item - look for the line starting with "<div class="lastpost-date post-date">" in two places.

To the right of the forum under the "latest topics" section when clicking view all how can I removed the dates within the threads?

I would guess you could remove this line:
<span class="post-date h-left"><time {vb:schema {vb:raw createdSchema}}>{vb:datetime {vb:raw conversation.created}}</time></span>

in the display_contenttype_conversationreply_Text template.

You know, you can figure this all out yourself if you just turn on the displaying of templates in the source code. To find the template to modify, do this - vboptions > General Settings > Add Template Name in HTML Comments > set to Yes . Then go back to your page and view the source code and you will see the name of the template called around your part of the code. (Sometimes the template is the one mentioned at the very top of the page source.)
