Adding BG image to Postbit_Legacy?

Hi.

I'm trying to add a small gradient background image to my postbit_legacy. I don't know how to code though. :confused:

Anyone know how to accomplish this? You can see the attachment I uploaded for a visual.
I'm gonna add a background image to my avatars section to in my postbit.

I'm using the default theme 4.2.2.

But instead of editing the postbit_legacy template, edit the postbit template
