to be moderated threads/posts showing on forum before they are moderated
 

Anyone have any ideas why threads/posts that are waiting to be moderated are still publishing on the forum? I have threads/posts set to be moderated up to 2 posts however, even though the thread/post is in the moderation queue it is still showing on the forum.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Are they showing for you as a admin, or you as a normal user?

Ozzy, your a genius (or im an idiot :) ). They were showing form me when logged in as admin. I logged into my normal user account and they are not viewable.

I was concerned the moderation was not working.

Trying to get my arms around these spammers.

Honestly SoM will have very little do to, once you have the other installed. Because the other stops them before SoM even gets a sniff of them.

Which type of human verification have you found to be the most effective?

None of the native vBulletin ones are, anymore. That's the point. Not even email verification - the auto spam programs have completely defeated the human verification of the most popular mail servers too. So not only do they have a legitimate account, they also get the verification hash from you anyway, at pageload.

Thus the need for the more clever time based Mods, and good stuff like Ban Spiders by User Agent, which also blocks lots of human spammers as well. (Due to the use of very early MSIE browsers in 3rd world countries and of course, by botnet administrators.)
