Test forum and bots
 

I have a "life forum" but also a "test forum" to try things out before I make them active.

My domain points to the folder V4/forums. This is where my "life forum" runs.
I have also a folder V4test/forums. This is the "test forum".

Is Google, Yahoo and Co. going to search in the test forum also?
And if they do what would be the best way to block them from searching?

If you have a test forum on a live server you must either password protect it or limit access to certain IP addresses.

Doing either of those will prevent everyone from accessing it.

Putting a password on the directory did the trick.
