High Server Load
 

Hi guys!

I'm having a really bad time with my vbulletin forum. The main page of my forum is causing HUGE server load. When someone accesses the index page it creates high CPU usage on my host and the Resource Limit Is Reached message pops out. Please note that this happens ONLY on the index page of the forum. Viewing threads,posting using PM's cause no server load.

I have vBulletin 4.2.1. I tried the default theme, disabling all the mods, using all know vBulletin optimization tricks but nothing managed to fix my problem. If someone encountered this issue in the past or know a fix to it please share it!

disable all hooks and see if that helps. Put your forum into debug mode and check the stats at the bottom.

Have you checked .htaccess....etc to see if you have a looping redirect or something?

Fixed the problem by removing the custom forums icons.

Not sure what was wrong with your forum icons but I recommend running everything through smushit. This is a yahoo tool that compresses images and helps with load time and memory.

Click to view the queries and you will see the time to process each query. Is there one that is taking a lot more time than the others? (And you think .2 seconds to generate a page is a lot?)
