Does anyone know how to make vBulletin handle this error better? I found that my site went down completely when the master MySQL server went offline. I'm thinking that on my Apache/PHP side there's a timeout that was set too high or something. Perhaps vBulletin's MySQL code is too optimistic?

I was figuring that without the master, vBulletin would figure to use a slave temporarily, but it did not which is very disappointing.
