Outburst

I am really disappointed by the lack of serious people within this forum. I am not referring to the staff: the staff is of the highest quality. But programmers who frequent the area dedicated to mod paid. They do not respect the word, contacting you asking you what you need, you tell him that you have a high budget but then disappear, do not give you news, often they cheat you out too. I'm really very, very disappointed and disheartened. I need a lot of changes, but I never find any reliable programming. Sorry for the outburst.

I'm really disappointed that someone would send me a PM asking if I was interested in working for them when I'm quite capable of reading the request in the paid mod section and decided not to reply to the paid mod request.

Unsolicited PMs like the one you sent me will usually be ignored and deleted.

I replied by e-mail and in any case I was not talking about you.

Always, always do your research before hiring someone to do work. That rules applies everywhere, not just on this site. As there's no way to police the quality of people who will be contacting you privately. Check his/her forum posts, website (if applicable) and user name on other admin websites. If the person has virtually no online presence, or virtually no reputation, then they likely will not be very reliable, or worse. So always check that persons online rep before even continuing in discussions.

Change your sig like others do then and say so, perhaps he thought by that pic in your sig a pm was welcome because you surely do custom work right? I dunno makes sense if you don't think about it :p.

the site needs some kind of rating system.. been needing this for years. I"m sick of people calling me "scammer" when all they have to back it up is the word of ONE very disturbed person.

Incorrect, the staff have the final say as stated in the first of the site rules.

Global Rules

Staff decisions are final. Ultimately, staff has complete discretion over what is and is not acceptable on the site.

That relating to forum management. Not forum design.

Possibly, but the rule gives them Carte Blanche, as they have said, they decide what is posted.

They cannot have it both ways. if they have the final say then they have the final say, one cannot start to describe areas of control.

A blanket statement like that in the rules tends to govern all that is posted on the forum.
