The trademark logo?

I have seen this on multiple sites and trying to figure out how people do it? Put the trademark logo next to their username?

They add it to their username like so.

Just remove the spaces on either side of the # symbol

Did you remove the spaces in-between the # symbol? Not removing them is the only way I get that message.
