private message

Hi,

I have a question about my vbulletin forum. I have discovered that I have sent a lot of private messages but I do not see them back in my sent messages folder? How is this possible and how can I set that I can see. My sent messages

thanks

If you did not select to save a sent copy in your Sent Items folder, when you sent it, then they won't be in there.

Change it in your usercp general settings, no need to always opt for it when you send one.

But that is surely to be that you can view? Your sent messages back automatically?

How can I set t step by step? That all members unless they can simply empty the folder in their sent messages

Yes, if you tick, Save a copy of sent messages in my Sent Items folder by default to Yes in your usercp, any future messages will be saved in your Sent Items folder.

In my opinion: The default vbulletin operation here is correct.

Most of us wish we could have all sent messages saved, but most
boards with private messaging enabled could collect tons of clutter in the database if all sent messages were stored automatically. At some point the PM messages might have to be purged and using a date option to purge them is not the best method for users. On the large board I oversee, this option would be impossible, as I have over 4-5 thousand PM's a day.

I hope this helped a bit, but I get your wish. :)
