Bot stop registering as admin!
 

Hi everyone,

Today when I woke up I was surprised that a bone was registered on my forum but not as normal user as administrator! How is this possible? And how can I make this impossible that this ever happened again?

I often see bots register but never as admin! 'm Glad nothing is done to my forum but wants more this never happened.

Who knows this to stop and has also seen this happen?

First you need to follow our advisory about deleting the install folder off your forums.

And truly, there's no longer any reason to tolerate bots registering, with at least two very good Mods which stop them in their tracks. "Spambot Stopper" and "Bot Blocker" come to mind, both vB dot org Mod of the Month winners.

Additionally, IMO everyone should install and use "Ban Spiders by User Agent" mod as this blocks most all bad UAs the autospam bots use.

Yes i have removed now the install map in my ftp. I hope this never happen again the bot with admin i have deleted en i am happy it doesn't removed files.
