Is this issue patched in the latest vb 4.2.1 ?

I doubt it, it was just a security patch.

They are patched in v4.2.2 according to the release notes.

I am not upgrading to vb 4.2.2 yet, too many issues right now :/ They should apply the fix to vb 4.2.1

Typically there is no changes to a patch unless it is for security issues.
