Font for Profile Sidebar...

In what I thought would be a very easy task, I can't find out how to possibly change the font sizes, styles and colors for the sidebar which is located on the profile page. I see an area called sidebar under the Style Manager but my it does not recognize my changes?

--------------- Added [DATE]1381377014[/DATE] at [TIME]1381377014[/TIME] ---------------

I'm trying to change things in the left-side column sidebar but whatever I do in the CP or stylevars don't seem to show any changes front side? Along with trying to alter the fonts I'm trying to get the Avatar sizing to the same size as my profile picture which is 120 x 120 pxl.

But the Avatar image is stuck on 80 x 80 pxls even though I have changed that setting in the CP. Also can I have 2 different Avatar sizes? One size for the profile page's sidebar and a different size for the postings Avatar?

umm...any advice on these sidebar questions? Any advice anyone has is greatly appreciated :)

We're doing global layout changes to the sidebar in the profile page, and I would like to tidy up its look significantly. Here are some questions starting from top to bottom of the sidebar;

1 - trying to vertically center the username in the top black bar header

2 - centering Administrator above the profile picture both vertically and horizontally, (would like to add some padding here)

3 - adding linked titles to that list under the profile picture and re-organizing them in a particular order, and coloring the icons symbols

4 - changing the font size for the next bubble down in the sidebar, (trying to get text on 1 line each instead of drop down sentences)

5 - same padding size all the way around the inside perimeter of that bubble

6 - changing the Avatar size to whatever size wanted, but while not changing the Avatar size in forum postings

7 - under Groups, Permission Groups, Recent Visitors changing the content within' those bubbles

8 - Permission Groups has enough room to be on 1 line instead of a drop down

I usually like to have a standardized look to my sites with the fonts being from the same family per area, having many items centered and with certain spacings or padding, etc. I hope these things are more simpler than complicated to do?

You may have better results posting in the paid requests section, for what you want is just not a quick fix.

there's a paid requests section?! :eek: sounds like Apple Care, they always want money just to say "hello" :rolleyes:

No, simple one liner fixes are one thing, multiple things is another. The paid section here has nothing to do with vBulletin as a company, it is where members fill your request for a fee.

sure, I understand...so if I listed them out individually then I would receive some advice? I tried to do that a couple of days ago with the 1st posting in this thread. So say for instance, how do I do this;

1 - trying to vertically center the username in the top black bar header

Maybe, but would it just not be easier to give pay someone to do it all at once? I know paying for stuff can be a issue, but someone may do it for a really decent price.

Or you could try and post in the unpaid section first, and see if anyone helps you with your list there, then if not, go for the paid section.

Usually around here, -- I have noticed --, if a question is not answered it is due to the question being ambiguous (not clear), the poster is not supplying enough information in order to really help them out -- pictures, site link etc., or what the poster is asking can not be answered and explained to them easily.

Usually, if someone is kind of enough to offer code, it is because the subject matter interests the reader / programmer.

Like @Ozzy47 suggested the unpaid request will probably be your best bet.

where is this unpaid section that you guys spoke of? I see the paid section saying hiring people for services, but I already have a webmaster which I'm paying to build me this site, so I can't afford to hire a 2nd person.

ozzy47 10-12-2013 01:17 AM

It's here, https://vborg.vbsupport.ru/forumdisplay.php?f=112

If you are paying someone to build the site, why not have them do the changes you need?
