Call to Arms: vB5 Development Jiras
 

Hey all,

While there's a lot of good changes made to vB5 development wise, there's also quite a few rooster blocks in the system right now.

It is for that reason that I wish to start this thread as a "call to arms" to gather some votes for Jira tickets that seek to eliminate some of the aforementioned blocks.

If you're wondering why you should bother, or what we've done for vB5 development lately, I'd like to direct you to the following ticket: Mods cannot create new pages with pre-populated modules on install. With the help of the community, we were able to gather enough votes to put it on the radar of the execs, and get it implemented into the finished product (vB 5.0.4).

This goes to show that you can make a difference! I've put together a list of tickets reported by us, sorted by Ticket ID in ascending order.

• Allow API classes instantiated with instanceInternal to have extensions
• API call to add to Template Groups
• Allow modifications to create custom notification types
• ?explain=1 not working with MySQLi
• PHP Syntax Errors in API files called via {vb:data} should not produce a blank page
• Ability to set vB_Mail class to send mail as text/html instead of text/plain
• "Username" Data Validation Type for vBOptions doesn't transform userid back to username
• Stop vB_Api_Content_Text from stripping userid/authorname
• Allow API/Library calls to Content_Text to automatically create closed threads
• Forum Closed + API = Fatal error
• Mod Support for [VIDEO] BBCode
• Module Configuration printing raw HTML
• Ability to disable CSRF per request
• Ability to create custom administrator permissions
