Duplicate Board Names
On my forum, I have my existing boards plus boards that I've archived of the same name. My question is, am I risking being penalized by Google for having the duplicate board names? What is the best way to avoid this issue, if it even is one?
For instance: I have a current board called "P8I Bulletin Board", but in my P8i Archive 2009-2011 section, I have an older version of "P8I Bulletin Board" (separate content, but same name) See: Link Would it even be possible to prevent Google from indexing the board name, but not the rest of the content inside? |
No, not anymore than you would be penalized each time someone started a thread with the same name. Google penalizes based on large blocks of duplicate content.

Thanks for clearing that up for me, Digital Jedi. Much appreciated.
