Mark thread/post unread

Is there a modification to mark a post or a thread unread? I sure would like this option, I frequently want to go in to a thread in my forum, and answer it if it is a quicky, but mark it unread if I want to save it for the future...

Maybe just mark the last post in a thread as unread? I'd pay for this mod.

Thanks

Many of our users have requested this as well, after 10 years of phpbb they got used to that great feature.

This has been asked many times over the years, and I have not seen it done. The alternative is this mod, [DBTech] Thread / Post Bookmarking v1 (vB4) [AJAX]

It's kinda like the bookmarks in your browser, but it is for your site.

Sounds interesting, although I am a bit reluctant because I have issues uninstalling that last paid mod I tested.

The mod I linked you to is not a paid mod it is a free mod here on vb.org.

Well , first I want to get rid of the last installed mod. Than I will try you one you mentioned

ozzy47 09-27-2013 09:02 PM

What mod is that?

Helpful Reminder Hopefully :)

Perform all you modification changes on a local test board before installing them on your production board. Yes, it takes a few minutes to set up, but in the long run you will be doing yourself a big favor. Nothing should go public on your site until it has been vetted to co-exist properly with all previous modifications.

Everyone understands the above statement, it seems the effort to create a local board seems to be the hangup.

I always do , but actually I never test uninstalling any mod. This is something most admins probably forget.

That's what I was afraid of, an extensive search through the forum yielded little result :(

Thanks for the link to the other mod, I'll take a look :)
