Thread rating
 

When I try to rate an addon I get an error, saying: "Sorry, you cannot rate this thread".

What's the issue?

You must have the mod marked as installed in order to rate it. :)

Oh. Never noticed that. I never click installed until after I'm sure to keep an addon after testing it on my testboard.

It is something that was changed about two months ago, to help stop all the trolls from rating mods a 1 star, if they did not like the developer, or just do it to be a PITA. :)

Nothing can stop those who want to rate 1 star a mod because they don't like the developer. First of all I don't agree with rating 1.... or say it better: Rating 1 must change wording. Terrible is not good word for something that someone spend a lot of time and offers it for free. Let's say that at least is unpolite. Maybe "Useless" is a better wording.

Going back to the point. Yes you can't rate a mod without having clicked install, but nothing prevents you to click Install, rate with 1 and then click Uninstall. Simple as 1-2-3. The function must be improved so in case that someone clicks uninstall to remove the rating.

Yes the system is still flawed, but it is a bit better since this has taken place. :)
