I would very much like to merge my website with other vBulletin forums, but it's just not possible without merging the posts.

So, my question is, would anyone be up to the challenge of writing a member/post converter to work from one vB forum to another (just like the UBB/vB converter)? This would certainly make me very appreciative, and I'm sure it could be of use to many others as well. :)

Just link to the DB or simply copy and re-upload it , should work since they are the same forums and use the same database so ..

Copy it, by downloading the SQL file? Then where would I upload that data?

firewars: Actually that wouldn't work. You'd need to modify all the postids, threadids etc before importing, which you can't really do without a merger script.

Yea I would love something that can merge two different vbulletin forums... I'm hoping to one day take over my only competition and get their massive archives or info :greedy:

hey I was able to merge user of another VBB forum to my VBB forum, by using a simple application, as far as merging threads thats the tricky part, but of you want to know how ot merge users let me know,
