Friendly URLs Question

I have a question, is this possible?

Example:
example.com/game-predictions-ky-hs-football

I'm wanting to remove the forumdisplay in the link and change it to the above.
(Game Predictions is one of the forums)
How would I do this?

Custom code it, get an out dated addon that isn't supported anymore, or deal with the default forum url structure.

This is not a good idea. If you're wanting to do this for "search engines", don't waste your time.

It can be done, but if your an older board, @xenite is right, forget about it. If your a new board you really have to experiment with the format to see how the spiders handle it. It really is something only an expert should be messing with.

One more thing, if you are an old board and are not concerned about SEO then with some custom coding it can be accomplished, as @Zachery said, but you might end up breaking all sorts of add-ons etc.

Whatever you do: Keep some form of id in the url. Or how do you plan on handling duplicate thread titles?

I understand guys, thanks. I can deal with the default no biggie. I was just curious and was wondering if that(what I posted above) could be accomplished (example.com/forumname/threadtitle)

I use vB 4.2.1...
