vbulletin.org is running version 3.6.12?
 

Just curious,
Why hasn't this forum been updated to the latest version?

This has been asked many, many times over. Basically there is way to many customizations to the site in order to upgrade it. Besides the fact that it works just fine. :)

As it has been asked so many time use search am sure you will find the topics about it

I did SEARCH first. Check and see what comes up when you search 'vbulletin.org version 3.6'

Let me pick your brain. If you were to start a new forum from scratch, would you use vb4.2 or vb5.x?

I would start with 4.2 myself, I don't care for vB 5.x at this point. It has alot of potential, but it is just not for me yet.

Thanks. I have purchased two licenses and have just started using VB5. Thinking about starting over.....

If vB5 feels good to you, then by all means use it. It is just to new for me, and the lack of mods for it is a big downer.

Have you tried using other wording in search. I know the post is here somewhere just not sure were or its title

Concur. 4.2.1 is good, 4.2.2 will have PHP 5.4 support
