Ok, where is the coffee pot?

I need to quit looking for problems and also quit making my own :)

What ends up happening is I'll unknowingly create my own problems and then have to bother one of you guys to help me get out of it.

For example: My album photos when opened up were the same size as the thumb. What was the problem? At some point only God knows why, I had changed the image size in the Admins user group. My dilemma is, what was I thinking when I did that?

Another problem I have is understanding the mindset of a few members here that think their problem should be attended to right away. As if vb.org is their only solution. I used to be guilty of the latter.

Lynne has unknowingly changed the way I look for solutions. Rather than just ignoring my requests for help she has replied to a lot of my posts with how better to find the solution. I love that Lady!! She has taught me more about vb than I could have ever learned from just relying on someone else to just tell me the solution.

At times I catch myself on the edge of being down right grouchy responding to some of the posts here. Usually it's with someone that If I was in the presence of I would get away from.

I catch myself using my age as a legitimate excuse for appearing to or actually being so grumpy or short tempered. I have to remind myself that on the other end of my internet connection there is a real person that may be just having a bad day. God loves all.

Oh well, breaks over, I hear my Grandson who has just arrived.

Thanks for the coffee :)

What I have experienced, is that a member who pays for coding or a mod, is way more patient than a member who is using a free mod.

It is not always the case, but it seems like it happens more often than not.

Seems like when people get a mod or help for free, they tend to want it right away, and not wait for someone to take the time out of their day to help them.

But most of the usual members on here are good, it is just some that make ya want to shut the computer off so you don't have to help them.

Some people don't seem to realise that coders, designers and the staff off course are people too, and that they have a job, family and social life.
And most people do this in their free time, as a hobby.

Lynn has learned me a few things too, she sure is a wonderfull lady.
Still have much to learn.

I also noticed to some people don't seem to know how to use the search feature, or don't want to use it. The just post their questions and want it answered immediately.

Good coffee here :)

Free coffee - give me some NOW! :D

Thanks for the kind words, guys.

My personal experience here has been positive. At first answers were given to me but as time wore on the answers turned to how to trouble shoot on my own. I learned a lot and now I get down in the code with a lot more confidence. When I run in to some thing I don't understand I'll be asking for help for sure. And I'll wait for an answer that will come in due time.

Answers here are free. They only catch is you have to be patient about how soon you'll get an answer. We all have personal lives that run on individual time tables.
If you need an answer that quick, warm up the VISA card...

Tip of the ol hat to Lynne and to Andy whom I haven't seen on here as of late.

Your easy to help Gary, you have a great attitude. You understand that other people have projects/lives too.
