vBulletin doesn't need add-on BBCodes to embed videos from YouTube or most other popular formats. That feature is already included in the product.

If this one a plugin that you could host the videos yourself then i would use it but as this option is already in default files its no use

Your are right, but some forums are not like to enable HTML or use too much plugin installation like me, so the BBCode is the easiest way to get same result without enabling HTML on forum or using too much Plugins.

Am i right?

its a bbcode built in vb4

Supported videos include:
Hulu YouTube (Long) YouTube (Short) Vimeo Dailymotion Metacafe Google facebook

It's not a plugin or HTML. It's already a BBCode. It's the [video] BBCode.

Kindly correct me if i am wrong, BBCode [VIDEO] belongs to [CKEditor] not to vBulletin, so this will not calld BBCode actually, because this [VIDEO] BBCode is depending on a plug in called [CKEditor], if we remove this plugin then we are no more able to use [VIDEO] BBCode, this is similar to DBTech mention system.

djbaxter 09-03-2013 12:42 PM

You are wrong.

And in any case CKEditor is not a plugin but is a part of core vBulletin.

BirdOPrey5 09-03-2013 02:53 PM

You cannot remove ckeditor.
[video] is a built in vBulletin BB Code.

This isn't really necessary for VB4 or VB5. I can only see it useful for people who perhaps imported from other forum software and need to recreate the old bbcode on their new site....
