Keeping my promise I continue posting addons here but just for download. Support and Feature requests only in my site please, till the time that the Moderators here will accept the fact that threads are for discussion only and not to track bug reports or feature requests, and then install the Project Tools.

Timeline is an addon that I coded for my own use and I'm releasing to the community in case that you want to use it. As it has been coded for me, the current version maybe has some limitations that you will not like. For example as I don't hide threads per usergroup permissions it shows activity from all threads. But read below my ToDo list.

1. Important notices to avoid wasting your time:
   1. It does not getting data from activity but from real forums. This is because I wanted to show threads and not posts. But it does shows posts under the thread if you click on the comments counter.
   2. It does not shows Blogs, Articles, Photos etc (but read my ToDo list).
   3. It does not takes in action visibility according to usergroup permissions.
2. Available Options
   1. Amount of Threads to show
   2. Show xxx characters from thread text
   3. Include "Closed" threads or not
   4. Amount of comments per thread
   5. Show xxx characters from comment (post) text
   6. Show comments with oldest at top or newest at top
   7. Use facebook style "Time ago" or normal date format
   8. Use in Timeline Light or Dark interface
3. My ToDo list. If this addon will becomes popular in the community I have plans to improve it (even if I don't need them for my own use), by adding:
   1. Visibility according to usergroup permissions
   2. Showing data from Articles, Blogs, Gallery
   3. Showing data from other popular 3nd party addons. For example in my site I'll show data from the DownloadsII addon. Of course I'll add data from all of my addons (Classifieds, Reviews etc). You can switch On/Off any of the available addons.

Installation

1. Upload all the content of the upload folder to your forum installation.
2. Import product-timeline.xml from your admincp-> Plugins & Product
3. Set some settings at: Settings-> Options-> Timeline Settings

This mod displays a copyright notification in the footer of pages generated by this mod which includes:

• 1 Link to North Pole :)
• 1 Link to South Pole :)
• 1 Link to Both Poles :)

Seriously though - what happens to images in threads? How do they display?

It displays the first image attachment of the thread (main post).

Gentlemen,

I cleaned up this modification thread as it had become slightly sidetracked w/ inquiries as to his current status, plainly put the coder was banned for behavior infractions not quality of work and honestly even myself and some of you, if you think about it can become upset from time-to-time as well no shame there so continue as you were and enjoy the mod, personally I thought this was a good idea for a mod ;).
