vb.org Archive - Merge Two Forums

Hello,
I would like to merge an older forums into our newer forum. Basically I would like to merge all the old forum threads into a forum category titled "Archive".

Old forum members that have the same name as new forum members I would like to add "OLD" to the back of their name.

Does anyone have the steps I need to follow? I've been looking on the internet for days, but all I can find are just straight up merges into an existing database... I dont want to double my forums or overwrite users or have to skip existing names in cases of duplicates.

How do I do this?
