Layout Review of KH-Flare

So previously I've asked for reviews on our styles; now I figured I'd ask for reviews on our layout (forums, etc.)

Look for things like organization, how well worded forum descriptions are, etc. Do you think we have too many forums / sub-forums and could use prefixes? Stuff like that.

There's one forum that only registered users can see, so you'll need to register for that.

The link to the forum is in my signature.

Spam (Branding) in the footer ain't cool.

We don't have the branding free version.

If it's worth having and the price is reasonable, it's preferable than spamming their links in the footer. JMO.

Otherwise, it looks nice, dark themes are easy on the eyes generally. I don't think you have too many forums and subforums, and the xenforo-like avatars on forumhome really pop with this style. (Although each one displayed adds a db call - all the more reason not to have a ton of forums).

Only change I would consider is turning on "Latest Posts" in sidebar.

  1. Unfortunately, our owner cannot afford it.
  2. We have more styles than that, but this is about layout, not styles. :)
  3. We had Latest Threads and Latest Posts, but I removed them after the adding Forum Statistics and conditioned Today's Birthdays blocks.
Here's a test account if you want to see the registered members only area and look at its sub-forums:

  • Password: reviewer
