Display Usergroup not overriding ACP Usergroup Title
We have "Display Usergroup" and "Additional Usergroups" for a user set to: Contributing Members
Custom User Title: No The Contributing Members Usergroup has the following settings: User Title: "Contributing Member" Can Use Custom Title: No So why are they still displaying with the default "New Member"? I don't want hard-change their User Title to "Yes, Admin Set" and "Contributing Members" (which I know works), because this makes it a huge pain if we ever decide to change the Contributing Members title. This should work, correct? Isn't that what "Display Usergroup" is for? |
Can you provide a screenshot of all the setting in the usergroup area of this user's Admin CP profile?
|
These settings seem to be running on a cron job or cache or something - we're seeing them update every few hours, sometimes it takes a full day. Huh??

If you make their primary usergroup Contributing Members, does it display the user title Contributing Member? |
Nope - only if we change the user title manually and do "Admin Set".
The weird thing is though, after about 12-24 hours, the user title does change to reflect "Display Usergroup". It just didn't happen immediately, which is what confused us. I think it must run in one of the scheduled tasks. |

Oh that's a good idea! I will try that next time and see if it makes it more instantaneous. Thank you for your help!!
