I believe this is what you want:

From the Admin Control Panel:

• Go to Settings -> Options
• Go to Forum Home: Options
• Change Display Calendar Events? to the desired # of days. ex: 30
• Click SAVE

You can also change the actual wording of that prompt by editing the vbphrase:
upcoming_events_for_the_next_x_days
(admin control panel -> language and phrases -> search)
