Unable to import attachments to database
 
Hi all.

I'm in the process of moving to a new host. In order to simplify the move I'm using Impex to import everything into the new site. We have a lot of attachments that are currently stored in the filesystem. I'm trying to move them from the filesystem to the database via 'Attachment Storage Type' in the control panel but it errors out with "Upload of file failed". I've tried reducing the number of files to process all the way down to 1, have verified folder permissions are wide open, etc. Nothing seems to work. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

When we moved from phpbb to VB4 we tried IMPEX as well. Totall failure rergarding attachments, so we hired the help of the gConverter team.

Moving a site to a new host shouldnt involve Impex & would stop this form of moving the site & proceed with a standard file move to the new server.

I assume you arent on a vps/dedicated server?

Do you have shell access?

Why are you using impex instead of just moving the site to the new server?
