Refreshing the thread when quick replying

Basically, when a user Quick Replies to a thread, it won't refresh the page to show their post. Just wondering if there's a fix for this? It's awkward having to refresh all the time, plus users end up double posting because they think their reply hasn't registered.

Any help would be great,
Cheers.

Try disabling your modifications/plugins and see if you still have this problem.
Note: To temporarily disable the plugin system, edit includes/config.php and add this line right under <?php

PHP Code:

define('DISABLE_HOOKS'true);

I shall try this, i suggest after disabling, if the error isn't present, trial and error each plugin to see which is conflicting?

@Lynne - any other ideas? It still doesn't work :/ I wonder if i need to hardcode the "Post Quick Reply" button to refresh the page...

You do have ajax turned on in AdminCP > Settings > Options > General Settings > Disable AJAX Features > Enable All Ajax Features ?

RickyH 07-29-2013 05:32 PM

Yes Lynne, they're turned on. This issue is so annoying :(

Create a new style with no parent:
  • Styles & Templates > Style Manager > Add New Style
  • Parent Style: No Parent Style
  • Title: Default vBulletin
  • Allow User Selection: Yes
  • Save
Then browse the site using that totally default vbulletin style - do you still have the same problem?

Have tried that @Lynne, it's still not working :/
