Promotion Problem

Today ive implemented a promotion for a new usergroup called "Newbie" with the idea that when they reach 10 posts they get automatically promoted to "Member" so they cant post in certain areas until then, Ive set it all up and with a test account starting at 9 posts made a few random posts but at 11 the promotion is not updating, was just wondering if there's something Ive missed or another setting to change?

Promotions are done by scheduled task, so they only happen when the task runs. By default it runs once per hour, so it could take up to an hour for someone to see their promotion. If you want you can immediately promote everyone who qualifies by running the scheduled task manually (from the Scheduled Task Manager).
