Anyone familiar with .htaccess?

Well ya see, I'm too cheap to purchase a separate hosting account for my vBulletin forum. So I'm hosting both an IPB forum and vBulletin 3.8 forum on the same hosting account. However my vBulletin is in the subdirectory "/forums/". My hosting account only allows me 1 domain so I cannot use an addon domain to achieve what I want to achieve. I want http://route1pokemon.com to direct to "/forums/". I've almost got it, here is the htaccess I've got so far from googling. doesn't really achieve what I want it to achieve fully.

Code:

# .htaccess main domain to subdirectory redirect
        # Copy and paste the following code into the .htaccess file
        # in the public_html folder of your hosting account
        # make the changes to the file according to the instructions.
        # Do not change this line.
        RewriteEngine on
        # Change example.com to be your main domain.
        RewriteCond %{HTTP_HOST} ^(www.)?route1pokemon.com$
        # Change 'subdirectory' to be the directory you will use for your main domain.
        RewriteCond %{REQUEST_URI} !^/forums/
        # Don't change these line.
        RewriteCond %{REQUEST_FILENAME} !-f
        RewriteCond %{REQUEST_FILENAME} !-d
        # Change 'subdirectory' to be the directory you will use for your main domain.
        RewriteRule ^(.*)$ /forums/$1
        # Change example.com to be your main domain again.
        # Change 'subdirectory' to be the directory you will use for your main domain
        # followed by / then the main file for your site, index.php, index.html, etc.
        RewriteCond %{HTTP_HOST} ^(www.)?route1pokemon.com$
        RewriteRule ^(/)?$ /forums/ [L]

I find this quicker than .htaccess and much more smoother

In the index.php page place this in
<?php
header( 'Location: http://site.com/forums/' ) ;
?>

Make sure you place it in the top if there is other text on index.php
