All members getting "Account Locked out" including admins. Unable to login

Help.

All users are getting locked out including the forum admins and Moderators.
I've tried to reset the pass and received an email saying that someone at IP 10.216.1.70 has tried more that 5 times.

I dont know anything about websites. I simply use all the installed software and modules.

Help is appreciated.

Tanks.
Regards

Could be a spam bot trying to crack accounts like they did on here.
As long as your staff members have good passwords, you should be fine.

I guess just wait it out?

Lets hope so.
I did a backup last week of the website files and also made a backup of the database (.sql) via the admin - Backup menu.
Does that help in case this takes a while?

Do you have a load balancer? That is an internal ip, it sounds like its being reported wrong to vBulletin.

You need to talk to your webhost about fixing the load balancer to report the right ip address.

Additionally, you should upgrade to 3.8.7 for security and bug fix reasons.

I don't know how to upgrade...

I will call the service provider...

I've found out what is wrong.
The website is not recognizing the correct IP form the clients.

Problem with the server that manages the website or something else?

Do you happen to know if you're running nginx on your server?

That is a problem on your server. You need to talk to your host about it.

Hi,
I'm changing to a different provider.
Enough is enough.
I've had many problem over this last few years especially with the website not able to connect to the database, because the DB server was not available.

Lets see how it works with this new provider.

Regards

Sounds like you're using shared hosting.

Consider getting a VPS, at least.
