Setting Up Mobile for Vbulletin 4x

I have Vbulletin 4x and I am very confused about mobile. I have a forum runner account set up, but when I called tech support, I was told that I need to purchase the mobile suite. So I did. However, when I tried to set up the mobile suite, the page tells me that I have an old version of Vbulletin and that I need to upgrade to Vbulletin 5! I just spent $200 on this mobile suite and now it's telling me I need vb5?! Why didn't she tell me THAT over the phone?

All I need to know is that people on mobile devices will be able to read / post on my forum. My question is, will Forum Runner be enough since I have that set or, or will I also need to do the Mobile Suite? How do you set up mobile suite?

I think the mobile suite is more for customizing your mobile appearance. Forum Runner works, but isn't as popular as Tapatalk. I use both.

I use none just the default mobile skin does the job just as good if not better

Thank you so much for your reply. I wish they had made this more clear before I purchased the mobile suite, thinking it was a necessity to set up mobile. I am going to try to use Tapatalk.

This skin looks so different that it confuses mobile users. Ideally I will be able to set up mobile suite, as well as Forumrunner and Tapatalk. I will keep working on this.

If anyone else knows how to set up mobile for Vbulletin 4x, please let me know. Thanks.
