PHP 5.3 or above
 

I have a forum that I believe is using version "3.6.8 Patch Level 2" ... I have a lot of custom work/integration done with this forum so updating has never been a high priority. However, I need to update my server from PHP version 5.2.8 to 5.3 or higher.... and my current forum does not work with the newer version of PHP.

What minimum modifications would I need to do to my forum to allow it to handle the more recent PHP versions? Is there anybody here that can help on this (for hire)? Thank you.

Of the 3.x series, only version 3.8.5 and above will work with PHP5.3 and only version 3.8.8 will work with PHP5.4.

Do you know what the minimal updates I would have to do to make it work with the new PHP? Any suggestions on finding someone to help with this? Thank you.

I do not have that information. I have seen people post what they thought was needed, but I don't know if that is all that was needed. If you have access to a server with PHP5.3, set up a test site and see.

if you have display errors turned on your php.ini it will tell you exactly where the errors are
