total users online code not working
 

Hey folks,

Added {vb:raw totalonline} in navbar link template, but it's not displaying anything.

I simply want to display total users online (logged in, guests, etc).

Most likely the variable is not available to the template. If the variable "is available" in the code you are going to have to preregister the variable using plugin code. There are many examples already on the board here on how to do that.

You cannot just move a variable to another template unless it is globally registered variable. The variable must also have executing code in order for that variable to contain any useable information.

Update:
The variable is not available to your template. You will need to add plugin code to accomplish what you are looking for. That variable is available in the following modules and their associated templates: forum.php, forumdisplay.php, showthread.php.
