Possibility of Date picker in products/plugin in admin

Just wondering from people who know the source would it be possible easily enough to add a date picker to the admin.

I created a product and plugin that allows me to write news articles from the admin panel that show on my front page. However i would like to use a datepicker to add timestamps etc. But not sure how to go about this.
