I just took a quick look at what changed in vb 3.8.8
I wonder if I will make these changes to my vb .php files will my vb still work flawlessly on php 5.3?
What are the pros of upgrading PHP to 5.4 except the the further support (bug & security updates)?
Are there any critical security bugs in PHP 5.3?
Is it worth to upgrade PHP to 5.4 if I have my own server and I don't have to?
And what about all the modifications? Will you release any tutorial how to upgrade them too?
I mean some things seem to be obvious when looking at the code like:

error_reporting(E_ALL & ~E_NOTICE & ~8192); -> error_reporting(E_ALL & ~E_NOTICE);
or

htmlspecialchars -> htmlspecialchars_uni
But some are not oblivious especially for not a coder if you released some tutorial or at least detailed list of what is changed it would be easier to implement those changes to installed addons.
What about vbblog official mod? Will you update it as well?
