reset-fonts.css and no stylevars = sadface

So yeah, what's up with this thing? It hardcodes the color of legend, but it also sets some fonts and color/background for HTML. If the stars aligned, there's a chance your design could have a flash of the wrong colors. More of an issue for a design like my current one (dark, white text on black background sort of thing) but it's still kind of weird.

I modified mine to use the stylevars for body color/background but anyone have an idea why it's not like that already? For that matter it's also setting fonts -- most if not all of this CSS is overwritten further down the line but still seems sort of inconsistent. I get it's supposed to be a reset, but since we can, why aren't we using stylevars here?

Anyway, FWIW here's my modified version, figure it might help someone down the line pulling their hair out trying to figure out why the "legend" elements aren't using the right colors:

reset-fonts.css
Code:

*/
html{color:#{vb:stylevar body_color};background:{vb:stylevar doc_background};}body,div,dl,dt,dd,ul,ol,li,h1,h2,h3,h4,h5,h6,pre,code,form,fieldset,legend,input,button,textarea,p,blockquote,th,td{margin:0;padding:0;}table{border-collapse:collapse;border-spacing:0;}fieldset,img{border:0;}address,caption,cite,code,dfn,em,strong,th,var,optgroup{font-style:inherit;font-weight:inherit;}del,ins{text-decoration:none;}li{list-style:none;}caption,th{text-align: {vb:stylevar left};}h1,h2,h3,h4,h5,h6{font-size:100%;font-weight:normal;}q:before,q:after{content:'';}abbr,acronym{border:0;font-variant:normal;}sup{vertical-align:baseline;}sub{vertical-align:baseline;}legend{color:#{vb:stylevar body_color};}input,button,textarea,select,optgroup,option{font-family:inherit;font-size:inherit;font-style:inherit;font-weight:inherit;}input,button,textarea,select{*font-size:100%;}body{font:13px/1.231 arial,helvetica,clean,sans-serif;*font-size:small;*font:x-small;}select,input,button,textarea,button{font:99% arial,helvetica,clean,sans-serif;}table{font-size:inherit;font:100%;}pre,code,kbd,samp,tt{font-family:monospace;*font-size:108%;line-height:100%;}

This only adds stylevars to html and legend (both which were hardcoding colors); however I suppose one could go further and change the fonts to use the body font and such as well -- but those are over-ridden elsewhere and I'm personally not as concerned over a flash of the wrong font, heh.
