Trying to change Search in my vB 4.2

Advanced search has 2 tabs, I'd only like the Single Content Type, remove Multiple Content Type.

In Single Content type I'd like to remove all drop down options except for Post. Also want main search window on every page to do the same.

Found some of the options in Templates "search_common_select_type" and "search_common" But can't seem to get it right, maybe missing something in search.php ?

Could someone point me in right direction?

BTW My signature link has been changed and I can't find the signature option in user CP ?
