Search Attachments

My users want the ability to search for posts that have attachments.

I saw this old mod: https://vborg.vbsupport.ru/showthread.php?t=64734
and I have the fileslist.php file but can't figure out how to get it to work with 4.0

I tried to update and register the variables to work with 4.0 but don't have enough experience with it yet to get it to work.

I also saw posts about sphinx but I don't run my own server or have root access.

Are there any other mods that might do the job for me?
