Functions.php parse errors
i am getting parse errors like this on the top my forum when someone open any section:
Parse error: syntax error, unexpected T_ENCAPSED_AND_WHITESPACE in /var/www/vhosts/worldofdth.com/whangout/includes/functions.php(2582) : eval()'d code on line 22 Parse error: syntax error, unexpected T_ENCAPSED_AND_WHITESPACE in /var/www/vhosts/worldofdth.com/whangout/includes/functions.php(2582) : eval()'d code on line 22 Parse error: syntax error, unexpected T_ENCAPSED_AND_WHITESPACE in /var/www/vhosts/worldofdth.com/whangout/includes/functions.php(2582) : eval()'d code on line 22 Parse error: syntax error, unexpected T_ENCAPSED_AND_WHITESPACE in /var/www/vhosts/worldofdth.com/whangout/includes/functions.php(2582) : eval()'d code on line 22 How to fix these? |
There's an error in one of your plugins, using hook location "navbits". If you don't know which product or plugin that is, you can try disabling products one at a time and see when the problem goes away.
|
yes when i disabled the hooks globally then the error disappeared but when i tried to find out which plugin is causing it, i was not able to kow which plugin is creating that errors...i tried disabling each plugin but the error never disappeared...please help me
here is the code of navbar template: Code:
<!--[if !IE]> --> |
It's a plugin error, not a template error. Disable ALL your plugins, then turn the on one-by-one until you get the error again.
|
Hi lynne, i have uninstalled all the plugins but the errors are still there, and when i add define('DISABLE_HOOKS', true); to the config.php then it won't display any errors...what is the problem i can't understand please help me now what to do..?
|
You uninstalled all plugins or do you mean you uninstalled at the products? You may still have some plugins (not all plugins are in products). So, check your Plugin Manager (not just the Manage Products page).
|
i think i have to hire a coder for fixing these errors as i am not getting much help from vbulletin people.
I have tried uninstalling all plugins, products and removing 3rd party adon bitfield files from functions/xml folder but the errors are not dissappearing, the strange thing is when i globally disable the plugins from config.php the error does not show. Please help me if you can via team viewer or by sending you the ftp and admin details. Please help me. |
It's probably a good idea to hire someone, because if you've uninstalled or disabled all plugins (not products - you want to go to Plugins & Products > Plugin Manager) then that shouldn't happen, and it's hard to know what else to suggest.
|
ok problem solved, it was from a navbar hook plugin installed with the custom theme.
|
Glad you solved it. I probably should have given those details in my first post - I forget that a lot of people don't deal with plugins directly.
