It is possible on foru home page
 
It is possible to hide some categories and forums which i don't want to show on forum home page. if yes pl suggest me the best way to do this modification

The way we have this done, is by setting up your usergroups.

Do you mean 'hide' as in just stop them from showing on the forum page but people are still allowed into them? If so, on the Forum Manager page, set their Display Order to 0.

Exactly stop to show on forum home page but accessible to everyone (including search engines) if they know links..
