What Happened to my Forums? Just upgraded.
 

WOW!! What happened to my forums? Looks like no style sheet! OH MY!!

This happened after upgrading from 4.0 to 4.2

Any ideas on how to fix this?

I had this problem when importing a database, I cleared it by deleting my board cookies

Browser>Tools>Option>Privacy> clear individual cookies

Then you need to clear your browser Cache

Then login to your forum

It took me three or more attempts but it did work, a lot depends on the speed of your connection I think

So it doesnt look messed up to you? Since you have never been to my site before, clearing your cookies and cache would not change what you see.

ForceHSS suggested I revert all custom templates, this helped with appearance. Now I just need to get my images working. Any clues about the images?

Its looks messed up to me. Mine looked like that once and it was because some files from my styles had were missing from my style images and files that I had installed on my server.

Add a new style?

To me it appears ok when I load it. Can you post a screenshot of how it looks like on your end?

No I said that I had the same problem, in other words my board looked like that too, I explained how I solved the problem for me, thinking it would solve your problem as well.

Thanks Spangle, I appreciate your suggestion, I just wanted clarification.

What it looked like (A mess!) was as if the style sheets were missing. Background all white, all links in a list on the left. None of the icons were showing up.

What fixed it: I just upgraded and had some customization in 5 templates. These were not able to merge. So I used the revert tool. Once I completed this on all 5 templates, my site came back to life.

As for the icon images not showing, that was a directory issue that was easily fixed in the admin control panel.
