Best ways to monetize a high traffic forum - eBay?
 

Hi all,

I'm looking for suggestions to monetize my forum. I'm currently getting around 2 million page impressions a month so wondered if anyone has clever ideas on making some money from this traffic.

The forum is Talk Angling & Fishing and the thing is this - the angling industry is EXTREMELY HARD to get any advertising revenue out of so phoning round and sending out advertising rates has proved a bit fruitless.

Someone said to me that its easy to add affiliate links to a vBulletin site and drive some revenue, so is there a best set of affiliate links to use or can someone tell me a good strategy - is it worth adding eBay affiliate links to list their fishing tackle for sale and if I do that is there a way to make the links even more attractive by making them relevant to the topics being discussed.
