My First (vBulletin Related) Post
 

I don't post much on vB.com, but I was there tonight replying to a couple of threads. I got curious and checked out my first ever vBulletin related post. (My actual first post was not vB related, but a comment on a website about ninjas...No, really.)

It was 2007. The weather was foggy. I was merely an Intern at City of Gamers, not the owner. And I did not know what a postbit was.

And this is why I continue to say I know nothing. Because "Coder/Designer" over here couldn't find the postbit orientation controls in vB Options.

Unfortunately, vB.org only let's you search your 150 most recent posts, so I'm not quite sure what my first "modification" question was here. What amazes me more is that my ImageShack screenshots are still online.

I also couldn't figure that out in June 2008 when I started my site.

Remarkable how quickly things can change. Shortly after this, I tried a complex if conditional with custom profile options. Apparently, my ambitions were high.

I can't remember what mine was but I'm sure it was something incredibly basic, like "What's php?" or "Is this thing on?"

I dont remember this at all, but plugins did get an execution order parameter in 3.6. :)

I tried for a few minutes last night to find my first post here. I'm fairly certain I posted outside the modification thread for a modification question, which as I recall, did not get answered (or even chastised.) And I apparently ask about Oekaki integration about once every two years. I'm just gonna have to figure how to code the durn thing myself. :erm:

I think you just need to use Last Posting Date and In Ascending Order.

My first few were trying to help people - I'm not going to read too many because I'm afraid I'll find one (or more) where I said something really stupid. ETA: Well, OK, I would have the same fear about reading my posts if they were sorted in descending order.

Criminy! Turns out my first post here was about Oekaki. Okay, I think I know what my next mod release will be!
