admin pass error

am a bit new to vbulletin
my forum admin username and password was working fine , all of sudden iam unable to access with same details in Admin panel
plz help me how to reset admin panel and any security tips

Are you able to log in as a user but not to the admincp? Hmm... Anyway, what you can do is look at the files you downloaded from vbulletin and find tools.php (which is in the do_not_uplaod folder) and upload it to your admincp folder. Then point your browser there (www.myforum.com/admincp/tools.php or something like that) and use the "Reset Admin Access" function to make yourself and admin. Then delete tools.php from your server.

Then if you can log in you should probably use the Search for Users to check to see if someone else has made themselves an admin (and if so, you probably want to figure out how they were able to do it).
