User profile fields still there after delete

1 Attachment(s)
I deleted a few custom profile fields and the main categories, but they still appear in the user's profiles on the admin end (not public end).

What is that an image of - Profile Images from Form? I have no idea where that image was taken or what it is supposed to be showing us.

That's a screenshot from user profile view, from within the admin panel

I just deleted one of my custom profile fields from my admincp and it no longer shows up in the User page in the admincp. Are you sure you deleted all the profile fields first before deleting the categories? Do you have any modifications?

I believe you're using the Extra Profile Fields Page modification.

Chadi 02-01-2013 02:54 PM

No I am not using that mod

Do you have admins who are able to install things without your knowledge? This one doesn't require any file uploads, but it does require one PHP edit. I just double checked, and the spelling error in your screen shot is in my installation of the same modification, too. Profile Fields from Form '' The field group name doesn't appear between the ''. It's a bug in the modification that the develop was not able to fix. Check here, as this user has the exact same problem: https://vborg.vbsupport.ru/showthrea...d1_epfp&page=9 I believe the one file edit required may have been what displays those fields in the User Profile of the Admin CP improperly.

The developer has made a version of this mod for every version of vB starting with 3.6 going all the way to up to 4.x. So if you've been vBulletin-ing for a long time, it's possible you just forgot about this one.

"Do you have admins who are able to install things without your knowledge? "

No.

I did use the mod a long time ago, but - I've uninstalled it last year, recently upgraded vbulletin (after the mod was removed) and installed a fresh new skin. So no template nor file edits, which is baffling me. I even checked last night too.

It might be an issue with the title that was created for that particular group of fields. Now that the mod's gone, it's still showing up as part of that phantom group. Only real way to test that would be to delete those fields, but they would have to be recreated and refilled by everyone since the info wouldn't be retrievable. Not sure if you want to go that far if it's not really causing any major problems

Is it possible you're seeing a cached view? as for what Digital Jedi said, just create a back up of your forum and database first then you can always roll back after trying it.
