How to transfer forum categories?
 
Hi,

I have a running forum what still is version 4.0.2 and I am not able tu upgrade during many upgrade errors. If I do a fresh installation, there seems to pe no problem at all, so I did a new installation (newest vb version) and would like ti transfer my forum categories from the old forum to the new one with all it's descriptions.

How can i do that? Thank you

I would correct the issues for the upgrade.

I would not use impex to import from one site to the other.

Why dont you post your errors from the upgrade, so that way some one can help you fix the issues.

I just need the forum categories, thats finde. Is it possible with impex?

I don't want to upgrade because all errors are discussed many times in other forums and I am not in the mood to do some "ignore this, ignore that" tricks and file edits, to still notice errors in my server error logs, because that's what happend many times.
