embed windows media player

I know I can embed u tube videos but is their a way I can embed windows media video from my own server
I seen there was a way to do it in 3.6 with a ubb code but didn't work for me on 4.2
Using the MOV tag pops up Windows Media Player in another window their has to be a way to embed it ????
