Nestaron's MODCP User Administration
1 Attachment(s)
Nestaron's MODCP User Administration This mod will allow for limited User Profile Edding changes in the MODCP. There are 6 options that can be set via the vBulletin Options/Settings: Features:
Please mark installed to get support help. Usergroup Restrictions: The default settings are going to be fine for a majority of sites. Upon install the following usergroups are restricted: Moderator, Administrator, Super Moderator & Banned Users. Installation Instructions:
Special note: Moderator setting of "Can View Whole Profile" is required for some features of this mod. f.e. avatar, signature, home page etc etc On default your mods wont see IP's. Special note access mask: Super Moderators can no give themselves access to restricted forums. HOWEVER, if they already have an access mask set for a restricted forums they are able to change it. User Usergroup permissions to deny access to forums for Super Moderators instead of access mask. Side note access mask: If disabled in ACP it still shows up in modcp but they cant give access, not even when its saved. I have ask Nestaron his permission the redistribute and keep it up to date with vbulletin 4.x and further. This mod is mainly the same as nestaron's version so all credits go to him for making it. i made the coding optimal for vb4.x Note: If you are already have the 3.8 version installed of nestaron you don't need to update as you probably already have fixed some of the issues regarding vb4 |
Really cool mod, but I would need mods to have access to a few more features. Like changing email/password or certain options (ability to neg rep, secondary usergroup, etc. )
|
This mod allows them to set secondary usergroups. the mod it self isnt build to let mod or supermods change there e-mail and such true mod cp.
if you want your mods to change all those things you rather can give them administrator permissions like Can Administer Users: Yes Can Administer User Permissions: Yes But i will take a look tonight if i can fix that |
This would be great if it allowed moderators to edit signatures, avatars and profile pictures.
Could you do this? |
There are too many areas that administrators get access to -- even if you massively reduce their options. I would love for certain super mods just to be able to edit users as much as possible, but not have access to all the other admin functions. Unfortunately, VB is not set up that way by defult.
