Can anyone help out a beginner? FTP, FileZilla Questions

Hello, and thanks for clicking on the noob thread.

As a complete lamen, I'm looking for a guide through the initial steps of using FTP to upload images etc to my forum that is running vBulletin 4.2.

Needless to say, I'm struggling with it all. All these new terms and abbreviations have my brain in mashed potato mode. I wouldn't call myself stupid, but certainly not a genius, either. I'm just overwhelmed.

Any help is most appreciated.

Everything to do with FileZilla! All this "Host" and "Port" business, local and remote directories......I'm completely flabbergasted. It's embarrassing, but I don't even know where to locate the necessary information for input. :o
